I'm usually not big into the memes...
but I saw this on Wendy Knits' Blog and thought it was cute.

Here are the rules:
1. Pick 10 of your favorite movies.
2. Go to IMDb and find a quote from each movie.
3. Post them on your blog for everyone to guess.
4. Strike it out when someone guesses correctly, and put who guessed it and the movie.
5. Looking them up is cheating, please don’t.

I must admit - it was almost hard for me to pick 10 movies.
And there is definitely a bit of a theme here.

Dumb Things, Part Deux

Recently, I posted about all the dumb things that come out of my mouth on a regular basis. I promised there would be more... and here they are.

You're killin' me, Smalls.- This is from the excellent movie, The Sandlot. The comment is usually directed at my boss, when he gets stuck on one thing and keeps getting after me about it. Example: "Missy, did you get xxx yet?" "Ah! You're killin' me, Smalls!".  But many times it's directed at friends, or my husband for just driving me nuts!

I hear ya-  If I'm listening to a friend vent about something, but have no comeback, or witty advice... it's my fallback.

Whatever- This is one I would like to get rid of FOREVER. But it's my typical answer when someone is making me angry and I just want to drop it and not fight.

What the hey?- I am not sure where this came from... I guess it's my alternative to what the hell?

Shady lady/dude- I use this one most at work, describing someone in my newscast. Say someone's suspected of stealing from her employer? "So this chick decided she wanted more cash... so she wrote herself some checks... from the company. She's a shady lady."

Once again, I am sure there are more... I'll be watching myself much more closely now... to keep track of any more dumb things that come out of my mouth.

And since last post, I gave the definition of Hollaback Girl, I thought I'd share something I am so loving right now... my girl Gwen's new video for her song of the same title. Check it out... she rocks.

Dumb Things

I started thinking today about all of the dumb things that come out of my mouth. Things I say without even thinking. Here's just a sample:

What up. When I answer the phone (and I know who's calling)

XXX is going to be the death of me. Really? will it kill me? probably not.

Shut it. Say something smart to me? Shut it.

XXX is/are driving me to drink. This one is usually directed at a person, probably a coworker who is making me crazy, and yes, I will say it to their face.

Let's get this party started. I say this anytime a meeting is about to begin.

Hey there sassafrass. Usually reserved for female friends who look exceptionally sassy that day.

I'm sure there are more, there have to be more. But I cannot think of any... friends who read this lovely blog... got any to add? post a COMMENT :)
